AEO T2 Status Update 2026: CBIC Launches Digital Trust Dashboard
CBIC releases a new Digital Trust Dashboard for Authorized Economic Operators (AEO). Speed up your customs clearance and lower bank guarantee requirements today.

## Key points
On 2026-08-05, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) issued Circular No. 42/2026-Customs, unveiling the 'Digital Trust Dashboard' specifically for AEO T2 and T3 status holders. This platform provides real-time visibility into the compliance score of an exporter, directly influencing the speed of cargo clearance at Nhavaseva and other major ports.
As per the circular, companies maintaining a high compliance score on the dashboard will be eligible for a further 25% reduction in bank guarantee requirements for various customs bonds, over and above existing AEO benefits. The dashboard also integrates with the ICEGATE system to flag potential documentation gaps before they result in shipment delays, allowing for proactive correction.
## What this means for exporters
This advisory is critical for SME exporters aiming to reduce their transaction costs. The AEO India program is moving toward a data-driven model where digital transparency is rewarded with faster green-channel clearances. By utilizing this dashboard, you can monitor your risk profile and ensure that your status as a 'Trusted Trader' remains intact, avoiding costly demurrages and physical inspections at the port.
**Who should act now:** Existing AEO T2 holders and those planning to apply for AEO status should register on the new dashboard to verify their compliance metrics.
