CBIC Circular 2026: New AEO T1 Direct Port Entry for Agri-Exporters

## Key points In a major boost for the perishable goods sector, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has released **Circular No. 24/2026-Customs on August 07, 2026**. This circular extends Direct Port Entry (DPE) privileges to all Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) T1 status holders involved in agricultural and processed food exports. Previously, DPE was largely reserved for AEO T2 and T3 tiers.
