DGFT Notification 2026: New Advance Authorization for Graphene Units
DGFT simplifies Advance Authorization for Graphene exporters. Claim duty-free imports and boost profitability under the new 2026 norms. Apply online now.

## Key points
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued Notification No. 88/2026-27 on August 13, 2026, introducing simplified norms for the Graphene manufacturing sector. Under the updated Advance Authorization Scheme, manufacturers can now import raw materials and inputs duty-free without waiting for standard input-output norms (SION) fixation, provided they meet the minimum value addition criteria.
This notification aims to position India as a global hub for high-tech materials. As per DGFT Notification No. 88/2026-27 dated 2026-08-13, the fast-track window for processing these licenses has been reduced to seven working days for accredited exporters.
## What this means for exporters
Exporters in the Graphene and advanced carbon allotrope sectors can significantly reduce their working capital requirements. By utilizing the duty exemption on imported precursors and chemicals, the effective cost of production is expected to drop by 12-18%. The digital filing process ensures that the authorization is linked directly to the ICEGATE shipping bill for seamless liquidation of export obligations.
Exporters who have high-frequency import requirements should act now to update their IEC profiles. Contact our consultants at "We Design For You" today to verify your eligibility and streamline your application for this new subsidy benefit.
