DGFT Trade Notice 2026: New QR-Based E-Audit for RoDTEP Scrips
DGFT introduces QR-coded e-audits for RoDTEP scrips to ensure faster verification. Exporters can now settle scrip queries online to prevent duty credit blocks.

## Key points
DGFT has issued Trade Notice No. 42/2026-27 on August 07, 2026, introducing a mandatory QR-based e-audit mechanism for all RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) scrips issued from this fiscal year. This new system aims to replace manual physical audits with a digital validation process, significantly reducing the turn-around time for scrip verification.
Exporters will now receive automated system-generated queries via the DGFT portal if any data discrepancies are detected between the Shipping Bill and the Electronic Duty Credit Ledger. As per the notice, response to these queries must be submitted within 15 days to avoid the freezing of scrips.
## What this means for exporters
This move enhances transparency and eliminates the need for visiting Regional Authorities (RA) for routine audit clearances. The integration of QR codes on the scrip document allows Customs authorities at Nhavaseva and other ports to instantly verify the authenticity of the duty credit.
Who should act now: SME exporters who have recently applied for RoDTEP scrips should monitor their DGFT dashboard for the 'E-Audit Notification' tab. Prompt filing of supporting documents through the digital interface is essential to maintain liquidity in duty credits.
