As per the RoDTEP guidelines under the Foreign Trade Policy, exporters must ensure that the 'RoDTEP Intent' is clearly marked on every Shipping Bill at the time of filing. The new validation layer prevents the generation of scrolls if there is a mismatch in the HSN codes or the realized value of exports. This is part of the government's effort to eliminate fraudulent claims and ensure that genuine manufacturers receive their remissions without manual intervention. ## What this means for exporters Exporters must now perform a weekly reconciliation of their ICEGATE 'RoDTEP Ledger' against their bank realization status. Any shipping bills that are 'stuck' in the system due to validation errors should be addressed through the ICEGATE helpdesk immediately. Accurate documentation of the export HSN code at the 8-digit level is now more critical than ever, as the automated system will reject claims where the HSN code does not match the approved RoDTEP rate schedule.
