DGFT Trade Notice 2026: New Online Advance Authorization Ledger
DGFT introduces a real-time digital ledger for Advance Authorization. Track export performance and duty-free import balances online to avoid delays.

## Key points
In a significant move toward digital compliance, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade has issued Trade Notice No. 04/2026-27 dated 2026-08-08. This notice introduces the 'Real-Time Entitlement & Usage Ledger' for all Advance Authorization holders. Exporters can now view their live consumption of duty-free inputs against their export obligations directly on the DGFT portal. This transparency reduces the risk of over-importing and simplifies the process for obtaining the Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC).
## What this means for exporters
Exporters no longer need to maintain manual spreadsheets for their AA licenses. As per the new DGFT guidelines, the system will automatically reconcile shipping bills with the import bills of entry. This minimizes the margin for error in Duty-Free Import Authorizations and speeds up the redemption process. If there are discrepancies in the ledger, exporters are advised to raise a ticket on the DGFT helpdesk within 15 days of the notification.
Who should act now: All manufacturers and merchant exporters currently operating under the Advance Authorization scheme must log in to the portal to verify their updated balances.
