EPCG Scheme 2026: DGFT Launches Online Export Obligation Calculator
DGFT Trade Notice 19/2026 introduces an online EPCG Export Obligation Calculator. SME exporters can now track progress and avoid penalties with real-time data.

## Key points
To further the Ease of Doing Business, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has officially launched a real-time **Export Obligation (EO) Calculator** for the **EPCG Scheme** as of August 11, 2026. As per **DGFT Trade Notice No. 19/2026-27**, this digital tool allows authorization holders to input their shipping bill details and automatically calculate the percentage of EO fulfilled against their specific duty savings. The tool integrates directly with the DGFT portal’s existing dashboard, providing a clear breakdown of both specific and average export obligations remaining.
## What this means for exporters
This update is a significant relief for SME manufacturers who previously relied on manual spreadsheets to monitor their 6-year EO blocks. By using the official calculator, exporters can detect shortfalls early, ensuring they meet the mandatory export targets to avoid high interest and composition fees. It also streamlines the documentation required for applying for the Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC).
**Who should act now:** All current EPCG authorization holders who have imported capital goods and are in their 3rd to 6th year of the obligation period should log in to verify their data.
