## Key points In a significant move toward digital ease of doing business, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has launched the **EPCG Redemption Management System (ERMS)** via Trade Notice No. 18/2026-27 dated August 14, 2026. This new module is designed to automate the process of tracking Export Obligation (EO) fulfillment for capital goods imported under the Export Promotion Capital Goods scheme. Exporters can now upload shipping bills and bank realization certificates (e-BRCs) directly to the portal. The system will automatically calculate the percentage of EO fulfilled against the specific authorization, reducing the manual dependency on Regional Authorities (RA). ## What this means for exporters The manual submission of voluminous physical documents for Redemption or Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC) is now replaced by a streamlined digital workflow. As per **DGFT Trade Notice No. 18/2026-27**, the system will provide real-time alerts for impending EO deadlines, helping manufacturers avoid penalties and interest on custom duties. **Who should act now:** All EPCG authorization holders with pending export obligations should log into the DGFT portal immediately to verify their data migration status.
