This includes the development of integrated cold chains, packhouses, and pre-cooling facilities that are essential for maintaining the shelf life of perishable products like fruits and vegetables. ## Key points for agri-exporters According to the APEDA Financial Assistance Scheme documentation, registered exporters can avail of subsidies for the purchase of laboratory testing equipment and for the implementation of international quality management systems. This is particularly relevant for those targeting high-premium markets that require ISO or HACCP certifications. Exporters must note that the assistance is credit-linked and back-ended. The scheme also provides support for 'Value Addition' activities, encouraging the export of processed products rather than raw commodities.
